Y’all as I write this, I’m almost giddy! I’ve had the most amazing morning. It’s day 8 of NaBloPoMo and we are still in! So now you’re wondering about the title “How Can Simple Coffee Make Your Day So Much Better?” and I’m so happy I got up and went this morning! I’ll let you in on a secret of mine… PEOPLE energize me. Most people. Now there are one or two that just drain the life right out of me but I try to limit my time with them. But in general,
I LOVE PEOPLE – I ALSO LOVE COFFEE
Put those two together and you have magic. My friend is here for four months from the country where she lives and I couldn’t be happier. She’s my person. I know most of the time people only have one person but I don’t. I have more than a few that I’d consider ‘my person’. Guess what that makes me?
That makes me rich. Obviously, not in the monetary way. My cup runneth over! God has blessed me with people in my life that truly love me. And when you have those that truly love you, then when the occasional person doesn’t love you, it really rolls right off your back. That’s when you know you are truly rich.
She wanted to meet for coffee. What? I never do that. There are a million excuses.
I’m too busy
I’d have to put on make up
and a bra
and I haven’t shaved my legs today (or yesterday!)
But I went. My hair was a mess. But I went. And guess what? I am totally energized now! I’m more productive, I’m happier, God sent the exact people to meet that needed to be there and it wasn’t even my normal group I see. I stepped out y’all. And I ate a peanut butter brownie…
We met at Queen Bee Coffee Company and I encourage you, wherever you live, go find a place like this! The atmosphere encouraged us to share with one another. We got to hear about some of her hardships across the globe and it made each of us more thankful for our here and now. It helped us know better how to pray for her when God brings her to mind. Also, she has a little girl and I got some girl time in with her too!
Look around y’all.
There’s somebody who needs a word of encouragement. Just reach out and give it. I promise you, your day will be better and theirs will be made too!
Keep it Simple,
