I’m about to make y’all’s day! This little activity will bring joy to all who participate. It’s the perfect gift for the person who has everything. The parents, grandparents, teachers. Just kidding, give the teachers a car or a house. They deserve it! Oh how I wish I could really knock the socks of some of the teachers my kids have had over the years. Then again, there are teachers I just want to knock. You know, the ones that have a huge project due the Monday after a long break. Seriously? Ugh.
Anyhoo… this called a Wordle. My friend, Lisa, introduced me to it a few years ago. You know Lisa… she’s my friend that makes all things nice. #everyoneshouldhavealisa and she’s going to start a Facebook page soon. Be watching out for her hashtag… #letteredbylisa

So, here’s how it works and how we did it. My parents have four grandboys that were born within four years of each other. We gathered them together and asked them, “What are some words that come to mind when you think of Nana?” I just loved this activity and really regret not videoing it.
When you enter the results in Wordle, it will give more size prominence to words that are used more frequently. So in this example, we entered the word Nana more so it would be bigger in the middle. Just play with it and you’ll start to get the hang of it. It was cute how the boys used words they were learning at the time too. I’ll always know this was when my youngest had just gotten done with Mrs. Buce in fourth grade because she always encouraged them to have jazzy and pizzazzy adjectives in their writing! So thankful for teachers in their lives.
Well, there ya go! Super simple, inexpensive and thoughtful. All the ingredients for a perfect gift! Be sure to check out my GIFT GUIDES too!
