Oh how I love a season change! Most years I only have one little section of the house I decorate because, frankly, that’s all I can handle or stand. This year, however, I got inspired by a front door on my Pinterest page and that turned into an all day, 2 trips to Hobby Lobby, and playing with the glue gun kinda day. Ewww. Those that know me best know I really don’t like glue. Too messy, too sticky and usually doesn’t turn out quite like I’d planned. So today was different! Here are the pictures… if you are viewing this on your phone, you’ll need to click ‘view pictures’…!!!
This is Kutter, she’s the newest member of our household. She, of course, thought I bought all this crinkly stuff for her to play with… so she settled right into the middle of it.
So first, I got these pumpkins at Hobby Lobby. They were on sale of course. The black one already had a hole in the bottom so it was easy to set on top of the orange one.
Then I ‘carved’ this hole in the bottom of the white one. These are called ‘carvable Funkins’.
It started like this… Chuck took great pains to find pots to turn upsidedown in there so the height would be right. THEY HAVE TO BE EVEN! Poor Chuck having to deal with me…
Here’s my arch nemesis!!! I’m not a glue gun fan.
This was just a little wiry sprig that I bent to go around here to hid the glue. I didn’t even have to glue it. It just wrapped around here.
Around the bottom, I used a wire wreath frame to anchor the fake leaf garland I wrapped around the bottom to sit it all on. Yes, I know it looks like the pumpkins are leaning but it doesn’t look like this from the front! There is just no way this looks good from all sides!!!
Ahhhh, looks like a Pin to me!!! (Yes, I’m gonna work on a better wreath next!!!)
Keep it Simple,
