A very dear friend of mine (and mentor but she would hate being called that!) has two sons like I do and one of them once called the 23rd Christmas Adam instead of Christmas Eve Eve. So cute!!! So Happy Christmas Adam everyone!!
There’s nothing new…
Ever since I heard that I’ve thought about all the little things we do in our families that are like no other. Then it occurred to me… the Bible clearly states there’s nothing new under the sun, right?? Ecc. 1:9 right? I’ve always taken that to mean, no one ever really has an original thought. I’m sure there’s much deeper explanations than that but I’m not a very deep person… anyway, so I googled “Christmas Adam”. It’s all over the internet!!! Who knew?? I dearly love Christmas time and tonight, clad in my Christmas jammies, I delivered hot pumpkin bread to all my neighbors!! So fun!!!
Here’s my daybook entry for today…
Outside my window… dark and cold.
I am thinking… I need to call my backyard neighbor and see if she’s up so I can drive some hot pumpkin bread to her. It’s just too good to let it get ‘not hot’ then give to her later. 🙂
I am thankful for…a safe trip to and from Callaway Gardens to see the Festival of Lights. A friend of ours lost her daughter-in-law this morning in a car accident. I am thankful today for God’s protection for us. We are not guaranteed that every day!
From the learning rooms… out of school for a while!!! woo hoo!
From the kitchen…mmmmm, pumpkin bread! my youngest will do anything for this treat! also made Marci’s Morning Glory muffins for chuck. About to make sugar cookies for our decorating tomorrow. Friends are coming over too!
Have friends over, even just to chat
I am wearing…snowman jammies!
What am I creating…memories for my family
I am going… downstairs to watch a movie with my hubby.
Still reading… Australia… still.
I am hoping… for a white Christmas! (yes, I know we live in Georgia and that’s not gonna happen!!)
I am hearing…the washing machine getting done… time to start the dryer and another load of wash!
Around the house… it smells like home to me. Growing up, my house always smelled good. Even now when I go home to mom and dad’s, it always smells good. I can’t describe it, it’s just home. I hope my boys have the same comfort. Or, since they are boys… will they notice??
One of my favorite things… giving. Anything and everything… giving is so much fun!
Finally, Here is picture for thought I am sharing…
