You know what I’m talking about. That smell that you smell when you walk through a room and your son has just returned from track conditioning.
Here’s my secret: use tea tree oil to get rid of the funk!
This post is sponsored by Thursday Plantation but all opinions are mine.
It’s been raining here this week y’all. I don’t have good rain hair. Seriously, when I fix my hair and it’s raining, I’m just wasting my time y’all. We also have an Aussie named Buddy. Mercy, the rain isn’t kind when you have a dog that needs to go out and loves to RUN back inside! There’s more funk for the house. I can remember the first time my son got in the car after his very first practice in tackle football. He got in the car, kicked off his cleats and about 5 minutes down the road, I heard, “Mom, what’s that smell?”
“Um, that’s your feet, son.”
And so it began.
More funk for the car.
Now, the Lord has graciously led both my boys to the respective sports they were born to play. One is a very skilled Lacrosse player and the other is a super successful Cross Country runner. As a mother, I’m glad they aren’t doing the same sport. Can you imagine that poor momma that had one boy on each team in the National Championship the other night!?? That would be tough! Exciting, but tough.
Oh, right, back getting rid of the funk… I got sidetracked. First, I want to show y’all the concoction I came up with to clean the mold out of our shower.
The good folks at Thursday Plantation may have sponsored this post but I will be a forever customer of theirs now with all their lovely Tea Tree happiness!! Check out their site and you’ll see shampoo, face cream, toner, and more! I just found out that my fav local herbal store carries their stuff! Guess where I’ll be going soon?? Yep. So once I was done with cleaning the shower, my son actually asked me, “Mom, do you think that stuff will help my lacrosse bag?”
That’s when it happened…
I made the biggest mistake of the day…
I SMELLED IT. Y’all, for the love of all that is holy… don’t stick your nose in a boy’s lacrosse bag!!! It’s not the bag that’s the problem. Those pads, gloves, and practice jersey are the problems! And I also learned, he doesn’t wash that practice jersey! He just tosses it back in the bag! What?? Think of other places you can use this freshening spray… like in my happy place in my home!
Now let’s talk about the funk on your face??
Yep, I use it on my face too and so do my children. I put a few drops of the Thursday Plantation Tea Tree oil in my grapeseed oil that I use on my face nightly. I also use this to take my Sunday makeup off. You’ll have to watch the video to find out why I call it Sunday makeup…
The next thing I do is put it in a rollerball with some coconut oil for my boys since they are teenagers and all the mess that comes with being a teenage boy. That’s one of those questions Imma ask God when I get there. Teens have it tough enough, why throw zits in the mix??
