Welcome to day 9 of #NaBloPoMo! Honestly, I can’t believe I’m still hanging in here! We’ll see how Thanksgiving week goes with all the craziness involved! The other night, we were blessed to get invited to see one of my oldest friends celebrate her marriage. It was a night to celebrate love and the fact that our God is the God of second chances.
My sweet friend (I’ve known her since 4th grade!) was married to her college sweetheart and back in 2010, he tragically passed away. It shook us all. At the time, my kids were little and my husband was older than hers was. Fast forward 7 years. Her kids are grown now and both are such amazing people doing amazing things!! Now, it’s her turn. God brought her a gentleman that the whole family seems to really love.
This family is so dear to me. I lived with them when I was working during college. Then I lived with them again after I moved back up here. It seems that over the years, I’ve lived with this family off and on. I was roommates with the oldest daughter when I met the Captain.
This is the youngest daughter and she and I had both our kids within weeks of one another. There is a picture of both of us super pregnant and for both our sakes, I will just leave that on my computer!! We look much better here!!
And this is the bride. I swear I’ve never seen her look bad. There are people in this world that you wonder if they ever look ratty. She doesn’t!! She’s one of the most genuine, kind people I’ve ever known. I can’t think of anyone more deserving of happiness.
And then there was the food.
Y’all know I love food!!! It was very well done!
Y’all, these little mini philly cheesesteaks were so awesome!! Totally worth going off plan for!!
I had to capture these centerpieces to pin for later. I think I might even be able to pull these off!
Is this not the cutest thing ever?? My Lisa made this for me to give to the happy couple. I’m hounding her to make a Facebook page so you all can order from her. You remember Lisa… #everyoneshouldhavealisa
These girls look exactly the same! Haven’t seen them since elementary school! So nice to catch up!
Y’all know I love my people. Go, visit, love, share, be, and give. You’ll be glad you did.
Keep it Simple,
