I think it’s safe to say we all pray for our children, right? I’m here to share 5 of the most powerful verses we pray over our kids. At the end, make sure and enter our giveaway for a new Bible!!! We’ll be giving one away each week for five weeks! There’s just something about boys…
Use these powerful verses every day!
Being a boy mom has it’s own special challenges that I never dreamed of before I had kids. There have been no girls born into my husband’s family in over 200 years so when we found out we were having our first child, we just picked out boy names. I knew it probably wasn’t a girl. Sure enough, here he came, no instruction book, no nothing. Praise God, He surrounded me with a wise momma, a supportive husband and a generous handful of wise Godly women to guide me along. There were 2 am phone calls, friends coming to visit to try and get my milk going (that never did happen), and many days when a friend would just come over and hold him so I could have a shower.
Those long days and nights came and went.
Many of those friends are still with me and have been such a source of constant encouragement.
I hope that these verses will be something that will bring you encouragement as well. I’ve created a graphic that you can print out and post anywhere to remind you that God is faithful to fulfill His promises to you from His word.
This is a big word in our home right now. These teen years will be forever marked by some of their decisions they make. I pray for you boys that God will give you wisdom and discernment. I pray they will choose BEST over ‘good enough’.
Philippians 1:10 so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ
Life can get very discouraging at times. My husband and I always want them to have TRUTH to lean on in those times.
Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
Firm in Faith
You will be challenged in your faith. God is never wrong. He loves you more than we do. He never forgets you.
I Corinthians 16:13-14 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love.
Always ask the Lord to give you answers. Everything you’ll need to know, has already been taught about in His word.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
It’s easy to love those that are lovable. The challenge comes when God asked us to love our neighbors as ourselves. Our prayer for you is that you will love one another no matter what.
Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself”
